Mitsubishi Electric, ME Innovation Fund Invests in Hydroleap

About the Feature

Mitsubishi Electric Corporation has invested in Hydroleap Pte. Ltd., a Singapore-based startup company that provides wastewater treatment solutions. This is Mitsubishi Electric’s fifth investment through its ME Innovation Fund.

Southeast Asia is facing serious water pollution problems caused by industrial effluents. Industrial effluents can contain highly toxic heavy metals, high levels of organic substances, and persistent substances. These pollutants can harm human health and the environment. Existing biotreatment approaches are not always sufficient for treating wastewater effluents that contain these pollutants. Electrolytic methods are a promising new technology for treating wastewater effluents. Electrolytic methods use electricity to break down pollutants into harmless substances.

Hydroleap’s technology uses electrochemical methods to treat wastewater effluents. The company’s technology is effective in removing a wide range of pollutants, including heavy metals, organic substances, and persistent substances. Hydroleap’s technology is also energy-efficient and cost-effective. Mitsubishi Electric’s investment in Hydroleap is a sign of the company’s commitment to developing innovative solutions to water pollution problems. Mitsubishi Electric is confident that Hydroleap’s technology will help to improve water quality in Southeast Asia.
